The aim of life is to live and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware. - Henry Miller
AND
We live in Far North Queensland Australia, inland from Cairns, out past Herberton.
What some folks would consider a remote area, however this doesn't mean that our lives are not full, infact we feel we are rich  beyond measure, living in a great place, having wonderful friends and family, good health and generally being very happy.
We use solar power and have an 'alternative handmade house', we heat our water via a donkey boiler and grow some of our own food, though not as much as we'd like due to our shortage of water and we have chooks (hens).

We host couchsurfers from all over the world and also Wwoofers on occasion.
Artists are also welcome to come for retreats as the area we live is quite spectacular, with amazing rock formations and the Aussie bush all around, there are some great places to take photographs around here, and lots of old mining heritage in the area, check out Irvinebank and Herberton.

Our interests include - Gardening, Permaculture, Networking, Music, Movies, Social Justice Issues, Board Games, Friends, History, Art, having dinner parties...golly actually there is so much more we could put here.
